MaryRose Palermo, CNM

Palermo

MaryRose was raised in Marietta, Georgia. Growing up, she was a competitive swimmer. She initially attended Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a swimming scholarship and dreams of going into advertising. However, after giving birth to her daughter, MaryRose was inspired by the incredible care she received and decided to dedicate her life to a new art – the art of nursing.

MaryRose graduated with her BSN from Kennesaw State University and immediately began working at Wellstar North Fulton as a labor and delivery nurse. After spending years caring with mothers and babies and working alongside some remarkable and passionate midwives, MaryRose was again inspired to advance her education and returned to school to become a midwife. She holds an MSN from Old Dominion University and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Midwifery from Shenandoah University and is blessed to now call some of her biggest inspirations – the midwives – her colleagues at Providence Women’s Healthcare.

Growing up in close proximity to where she now practices as a midwife, MaryRose cherishes the opportunity to serve her community and believes in providing individualized care to each of her patients. She enjoys educating new mothers and supporting all women throughout each unique phase of their lives. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, baking, and sewing, and can often be found crafting or repurposing things around the house into something totally new or different.
